The damaging effects of the novel Coronavirus is destructive, at best. It not only ended in-person classes for millions of students around the world but brought the attention of reimagining the “classroom” experience we used to know from the heart. Seniors at this moment are having the tough decision to decide whether to wait to enter college or go to a local state university. Reason being that parents and students all feel that the high cost of tuition is not reasonable being that all classes are being remotely instructed. While many students live uncertainly, it imperative to know that we will get through this one way or another. People’s lives will never be recovered but our education will indeed be able to recover and be so much better. College prep and testing are still in the minds of the Class of 2021. Remote learning will always have its caveats and learning curve for now, but it incredible how from a matter of days, students would begin to learn at home. Furthermore, the digital divide still present in the United States and the entire world also raises concerns if students will be able to complete your coursework in time and graduate. No one expected such catastrophes but, one must thrive to learn and persevere. September will hopefully bring some students back to school, with adequate CDC guidelines, however, we should not leave our guard down and think the virus is completely resolved. The following months to come will be important to ensure it’s safe to come back to school, or remote learning continues for the following school year.
